Another Milestone
Well we knew it was going to happen. You hope that it doesn't happen too soon but as parents you don't have a lot of control (actually none) over when your child learns to walk, starts talking, eats on their own and it this case...starts saying 'no'.
Up until now Lucy would tell us that she didn't want to do something or eat a particular food item by shaking her head back-and-forth having picked up on the body language for no. But just a few days ago we started hearing the dreaded 'no' in verbal fashion. On one side this is good because her language skills are developing and her ability to use her vocabulary in the correct context is great. On the down side, we are entered the era where we will hear the proverbial 'no' on an every increasing scale.
There's not much we can do except encourage her to be more 'positive' in her vocabulary. It a good thing she is cute!
